KQED Teach

A vital part of being an effective citizen is being well-informed about the important topics of the day. And while one must be well-informed in order to fully participate, one must also have media literacy skills to be able to discern fact from misinformation, measure bias, and confidently digest the news they consume.

KQED Teach offers a free, online, self-paced professional development to help K-12 educators improve their teaching of media literacy and making. The course is designed to help educators incorporate media literacy into the subjects they’re already teaching.

Some of the modules include Analyzing Media Messages, Evaluating Online Sources, Implementing Student Media Projects, and Making Video to Inspire Learning.
