Who can apply
Young people across the United States aged 14-24, with two divisions: High School (14-18) and Young Adult (18-24).
How to apply
Participants can submit either a short, written response (300 words) or a video (up to 1 minute) addressing one of three prompts:
- How can Gen Z improve its civic knowledge and media literacy?
- How can Gen Z increase its civic and political engagement?
- How can Gen Z strengthen trust, which is essential for democracy, including trust in people and trust in institutions?
Award
- Each winner will receive $1,000 to support their civic work.
- Winners will be connected with established leaders in the civic learning space to share their ideas and expand their networks.
- Citizens & Scholars is exploring ways to feature the winning ideas in Winter 2024, following the November General Election.
