Jeannemarie Halleck is the Senior Program Officer for Civic Spring at the Institute for Citizens & Scholars. Her work funds and supports young people from across the country to create meaningful change in their communities while building civic knowledge and skills.

Before joining Citizens & Scholars, Jeannemarie was the Inaugural Director of Third Thought Initiatives for Civic Engagement. Prior to that, she was the Director of Research, Policy & Programs at the City Club of Portland and Director of Development & Communications for Classroom Law Project. Jeannemarie earned her BA from Smith College and MA in Practical Philosophy and Applied Ethics at the University of North Florida.

Outside of work, Jeannemarie enjoys spending time with her family in the woods or on the beach; cooking, reading, and playing music. Jeannemarie is actively involved in her community through her children’s schools and activities and recently joined her local chapter of the League of Women Voters.
