Inclusive Innovation Convening 2022: Elevating the Ingenuity of Schools and Communities to Transform Education R&D

#InclusiveInnovation22 will provide attendees with opportunities to:

• Learn about groundbreaking collaborations between schools and communities that advance equitable teaching and learning
• Tour powerful community-based partnerships in Los Angeles supporting youth and learning
• See emerging research and solutions from the Center for Inclusive Innovation and our community-district partners from around the country
• Engage with new community-led, equity-centered models for education R&D and see promising examples in action from a range of leading education organizations
• Tackle shared problems of practice focused on centering students, communities, and families
• Connect with education stakeholders across sectors and place

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

District leaders, classroom educators, community-based organizations, entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, and others who want to learn, share, and collaborate on district-community partnerships and new models for education R&D

During the convening. We’ll be exploring these key themes through breakout and plenary sessions:

• Models for Co-research: Engaging students, parents, and teachers in ways that amplify context expertise and disrupt traditional approaches to research in R&D
• Students Leading the Way: Models for amplifying student voice, design, and decision-making in R&D
• Family and Community Voice: New models for family and community voices to lead education R&D efforts alongside schools
• Equitable Co-Design with Educators: Approaches to R&D that center equity and the voices of educators in co-designing solutions
• Coalition Building: Building place-based partnerships for Education R&D with equity at the center
